Frequently Asked Questions
Using our very own algorithm we combine many different elements taken from the merchant's website including item, price, merchant, history, and much more and assign each sale a unique SaleRank. This number is then used to sort the sales by what we automatically consider to be the best deal each day.
We use a few different methods to retrieve the merchant's information for each item. Robots, product feeds, and xml parsing are some of the methods that we use. In each case we attempt to gather the best and most up to date information available to us in an effort to provide the most accurate description of the sale possible.
Any time a user is logged in and makes a search or views a sale detail they have the option to save that information as an email alert, saved search, or price watch. Since the sales change every day, this allows users to get quick and up to date information sent to their email or displayed on their SaleBurn account home page every day without having to search and find the sales repeatedly.
While we make every effort to provide the most accurate information possible, sometimes the data provided to us is old or simply wrong. Always trust the information on the merchant's product landing page first.
Simply put, there are just too many sales online on any given month or week to display them all in an organized format. We found that we are able to find and display tens of thousands of sales every day from almost all of the merchants that we track.
